Swearing in Ceremony for Captain Frank Santore

  • At their meeting on February 27, 2024 the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District #3 in Old Bridge held a swearing in ceremony for Captain Frank Santore. Frank is the first career fire officer in the district. He is assigned to firehouse #2 and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activity of the 4 person per diem firefighter crew. Please join us in welcoming Frank to a long, safe career in District #3.

  • At their monthly meeting on Wednesday April 26, 2023, the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District #3 in Old Bridge held a swearing in ceremony for the new Fire Marshal Matt Bond. The district Clerk Commissioner Shelters administered the Oath of Office while Matts children assisted with holding the Bible. Family members in attendance were Matts wife Priscilla, sons Matthew and Chase and daughter Vaida. Matts brothers Brandon and Jaime and their father Dennis were also at the ceremony. Matt is taking over for the previous Fire Marshal Tom Hart who recently left his position with the district.

  • On Monday April 3, 2023, OBFD3 and South Old Bridge resources were dispatched to the area of Throckmorton Lane and Ticetown Road for a wire down. The live wire down caused a fire in a small area of brush. Once the power utility confirmed the wire was de-energized, OBFD3 and South Old Bridge firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
